Here's a little known fact: I learned the hula in the 5th grade from my dear friend Yvonne Ohumukini-Urness http://you-connected.com . She taught me how to dance to Don Ho's Tiny Bubbles. Once we had mastery, we danced for the class and my mother made me a halter dress out of swiss-dot cotton for the performance. Little did I know that the dress fabric was so stiff that it would pull away from my chest while I flailed my hula arms and my little boobie buds were on display for all those 5th grade boys. Probably a memorable day for them too.
